Minimize Eye Strain (Eyecare Advice)

If you are like me, you spend way too much time reading or sitting in front of a computer. Here are some tips to help alleviate eye strain: (* Note: LensListing is not a medical resource site. Always ask your doctor before trying anything!)
  1.  Take BREAKS! Yes, this can be difficult to do. But your eyes will thank you for it. Even if it is a 30 second period that you look away from the screen or book - do it!
  2. Minimize reflections. Your eyes have to work twice as hard to focus if there is something reflecting in your computers monitor.
  3. Don't sit too close to the screen. If you can see the actual pixels you are sitting too close. You should not be closer than 18" from the monitor.
  4. Lower the brightness of your screen
  5. Make sure you have good lighting. Your momma always said not to read in dim light. Like always, mom was right!
